AI image generation uses a specialised model or service that returns image data or a generated image URL. A normal text chat endpoint does not automatically create images.
How to write a useful prompt
Describe the subject, setting, composition, lighting, visual style, colour palette and intended aspect ratio. Keep key constraints specific and avoid asking the model to reproduce an artist’s exact living style or a protected brand mark you do not have permission to use.
Before enabling generation
- Choose a provider with an image-generation API and check its current pricing, free limits and usage terms.
- Create a dedicated server-side route, validate prompt and dimensions, and set request and spending limits.
- Keep all provider keys in Cloudflare Pages secrets. Never place them in public JavaScript or GitHub.
- Update the privacy policy before sending user prompts or images to an external provider.
